Duties:
• Identifying what parts a customer requests or asks you to find on the computer system.
• Performing optimum customer service to problem solve for each and every customer.
• Have a mechanical aptitude; familiarity with agriculture and lawn & garden equipment is helpful, but not required.
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers-good listening and verbal skills. This also includes good phone etiquette.
• Loading and unloading of trucks with forklift. Forklift certification can be provided by employer.
• Utilizing the computer for basic day to day operations.
• Greeting customer immediately when they enter the store and direct them to appropriate person or department.
• Create a positive experience for all customers through attitude, helpfulness, clarity, and innovation.
• Multi-Tasking with multiple orders and customers as appropriate.
• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays.
• Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with lacing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations.
• Helps to keep parts department clean and orderly.
• Self-motivating in seeing what needs to be done within the parts department, along with prioritizing your day.
• Cold calling on customers to generate more business either by phone or in person.
• Inventory of parts bins during off-peak busy time.
• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Working Conditions:
• You will be expected to work at least 45-50 hours and up to 60 hours some weeks with overtime pay.
• You will need to start work at 7:00 am various days and also work until 7:00 pm various days.
• You will need to work on selected Saturdays, working in a rotation with the Parts Department.
• Ballweg Implement has planting and harvest hours in the spring and fall. We are open 6 Sundays in the spring and 8 Sundays in the fall from 11:00am to 1:00pm. You will be expected to work 1 out of every 3 or 4 Sunday’s.
• You will need to be able to lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
• You will work with items that are occasionally dirty and greasy.
• You will be working on your feet the entire work day.
• Most work is conducted inside, but may require to be outside for short periods of time.
